White King Champorado Chocolate Rice Porridge Mix 227g

Champorado is the Filipino chocolate rice porridge eaten hot for breakfast, thick and dark and sweet, and very often with a saucer of salty tuyo alongside for contrast. This mix does the slow part for you: the malagkit is already dehydrated and blended with cocoa, so you need only water, sugar and about ten minutes.

White King has been the shortcut of choice for this in Filipino kitchens for decades.

Ingredients:
Glutinous Rice, Corn Starch, Cocoa Powder, Iodised Salt, Antioxidant (E339), Anti-Caking Agent (E341).

Allergens:
No allergenic ingredients declared. May contain traces of soya, milk and celery.

How to use:
Put 1250ml of water in a pot with sugar to taste, add the contents of the pack and stir well. Bring to the boil and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring, until the rice is soft and the porridge is creamy. Serve warm, with evaporated or condensed milk poured over the top.

Store in a cool, dry place.
