Jack 'n Jill Cloud 9 Classic Chocolate Bar 28g

Cloud 9 is the bar Filipino schoolchildren grew up trading at break: a soft peanut nougat and caramel centre under a chocolate compound coating, sold one bar at a time from the sari-sari store jar.

It is chewier and less sweet-sharp than the European bars it sits next to, and the peanut comes through properly. A small, cheap, very specific hit of home.

Ingredients:
Centre: Glucose syrup, sugar, peanuts, vegetable fat (palm kernel oil, palm oil, sunflower oil, antioxidant (tocopherol)), skimmed milk, humectant (sorbitol), iodised salt, egg albumen, emulsifier (soya lecithin), milk or soya protein, artificial flavours, preservative (potassium sorbate), antioxidants (citric and fatty acid esters of glycerol, BHT, BHA, propyl gallate).
Chocolate compound coating: Sugar, vegetable fat (palm oil, palm kernel oil, emulsifiers (sorbitan monostearate, soya lecithin)), skimmed milk, cocoa, whey, emulsifiers (soya lecithin, polyglycerol esters of interesterified ricinoleic acid), artificial flavour.

Allergens:
Contains peanuts, milk, soya, egg and sulphites. May contain wheat.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In warm weather the coating may bloom, which does not affect eating quality.
